The first training for youth workers was held in Ukraine on 27.05-4.06.2018. Twenty four participants in total were engaged in the training, including 11 persons with different types of disabilities. The first part of the event (May 27-28) was held in Lviv where participants, among others, visited the Lviv Tourist Information Center and met representatives of local government: Natalia Tabaka (head of the Department of Tourism in Lviv Regional State Administration) and Andriy Matseliukh (head of Association Lviv Tourist Board). During the meetings the main trends and prospects for tourism development in the region (in particular, in the field of rural green tourism) as well as problems on accessibility (architectural etc.) of tourist services were discussed. The participants of the training also had an opportunity to get acquainted with the historical and cultural heritage of Lviv city (tour on “wonder-train”), and while walking in the city to evaluate the level of its accessibility for tourists with disability.

The second part of the event was held at the Western Rehabilitation and Sport Center of the National Sports Committee for Disabled of Ukraine (Yavoriv village, Turka district). It was the time, when participants, facilitated by trainers, shared their experience and good practices from their countries about rural green tourism (business plan, marketing, promotion, art of hospitality, the provision of tourist services for persons with different disabilities, etc.). At the end of the training a visit to the rural guesthouse in Transcarpathian region was organized, where participants have got acquainted with the traditions of local culture and were able to assess the level of hospitality and quality of service provision for tourists (including people with disabilities).
